About The School
The School is based in the countryside of Oxfordshire this is a special school offering a calm, supportive environment for pupils aged 10-16 with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), communication and interaction difficulties, and associated Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Set in beautiful, historic grounds just outside Oxford, our Partner school is a truly special place to work and learn.

The Role
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Safeguarding, Welfare and Attendance Lead to join our senior leadership team. This is a pivotal and rewarding role, where you will make a lasting impact on the lives of pupils and their families.

As the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), you will lead on all safeguarding and child protection matters, supported by a team of Deputy DSLs. You will also hold strategic responsibility for improving pupil attendance and engagement across the school.

Working closely with colleagues, families, and outside agencies, you will develop and embed a strong safeguarding culture while also ensuring our pupils are supported to attend, feel safe, and flourish.

You will also line manage our new Safeguarding and Attendance Officer, building capacity and ensuring our school continues to meet the highest standards of care, protection, and support.

This role would suit an experienced safeguarding lead, a home-school link worker, or a professional with a strong pastoral or social care background ready to step into senior leadership. You will be a confident communicator, a skilled relationship builder, and a passionate advocate for vulnerable young people.
