- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) (or are an experienced unqualified teacher with SEN expertise)
- Have experience working with pupils with Autism, SEMH, or other additional needs
- Ablityto plan and teach well-structured lessons to assigned classes.
- Assess,monitor, record and report on the learning needs, progress and achievements of assigned pupils, making accurate and productive use of assessment
- Ability to dapt teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of pupils
- Ability to promote good progress and outcomes forpupils
- Demonstrate good subject and curriculum knowledge
- Participate in arrangements for preparing pupils for external tests, accreditation and exams
- Maintain an update to date know of national requirements and developments in teaching and curriculum Whole-school organisation, strategy and development
