We’re seeking an experienced and motivated Site Engineer to join a well-established Civil Engineering Contractor renowned for delivering high-quality infrastructure and construction solutions across Scotland.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on key infrastructure, road, and bridge projects in Renfrewshire — with a company that values your expertise, supports your development, and rewards your success.

The Role

As a Site Engineer, you’ll play a vital role in supporting the Site Agent to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to programme. You’ll be hands-on with setting out, surveys, and day-to-day site operations, helping to maintain the highest technical and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Setting out works accurately and efficiently.

  • Conducting initial surveys and site investigations.

  • Implementing site strategies as agreed with project management.

  • Checking design plans, drawings, and quantities for accuracy.

  • Assisting with the management of construction operations.

  • Supporting re-measurement and valuation of contracts.

  • Assisting with tendering activities, surveys, and value engineering.

  • Overseeing site Health & Safety and Quality Assurance procedures.

  • Preparing method statements and risk assessments.

  • Carrying out additional site engineering duties as required.

What You’ll Bring
  • HNC or higher qualification in Civil Engineering.

  • Proven experience within a civil contracting environment.

  • Background in infrastructure, road, or bridge projects (preferred).

  • Strong setting out and surveying skills (essential).

  • CAD knowledge (desirable).

  • CSCS card and 3-Day First Aid certification (advantageous).

  • SMSTS or SSSTS qualification.

  • Full UK driving licence.
