Quality Assurance and Process Controller


Are you an experienced Quality Assurance professional looking to take the next step in your career? We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Process Controller to join a dynamic manufacturing environment in the Barry area. This employer offers some great benefits, including a 4.5 day working week, with an early finish every Friday at 1:30pm. About the Role


Reporting directly to the Operations Director, you will lead quality inspection, testing, and process control activities while managing a small team of quality staff. This full-time role (37 hours per week) offers the opportunity to influence quality standards, support manufacturing efficiency, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.



Key Responsibilities


  • Inspect incoming goods and materials to ensure compliance with specifications and approved standards

  • Lead quality improvement projects and collaborate on strategic quality initiatives

  • Support manufacturing processes by maintaining accurate data within MRP systems and updating SOPs

  • Manage supplier quality, non-conformances, and corrective actions

  • Analyse quality data and report on key metrics to drive operational excellence

  • Supervise and develop quality team members, ensuring compliance and training

  • Maintain calibration and proper use of inspection equipment


What We're Looking For


  • Minimum 3 years' experience in quality control or assurance, ideally within electronic assembly or manufacturing

  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data interpretation and reporting

  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and manage documentation effectively

  • Knowledge of Statistical Process Control and Good Manufacturing Practice

  • Leadership potential with excellent communication and organisational skills

  • Recognised Quality Assurance qualification or equivalent
