SEN Teacher - Penzance

We're working with a brilliant school in Penzance that's on the lookout for an experienced SEN Teacher to join their team. The role is full-time and long-term, working with pupils who need a bit of extra support to thrive in the classroom - including those with autism, ADHD, and social, emotional or mental health needs.

You'll be joining a setting that values creativity, patience and flexibility. It's all about making learning accessible and meaningful for every child, and being able to adapt your approach depending on the individual in front of you.

What you'll be doing:

  • Planning and delivering lessons tailored to pupils with a range of SEN

  • Working closely with TAs, parents, SENCOs and external professionals

  • Keeping learning engaging while managing behaviour calmly and consistently

  • Helping pupils make progress academically, socially and emotionally

  • Tracking outcomes and adjusting support based on individual needs

What we're looking for:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Previous experience working with pupils with SEN (mainstream or specialist settings)

  • Someone calm, confident, and able to think on their feet

  • Knowledge of EHCPs and what quality SEN provision looks like in practice
