About the Role
As the Business Development Manager, you’ll take the lead on managing a portfolio of existing accounts while identifying and securing new business opportunities across the UK and internationally. Your technical sales expertise and relationship-building skills will be critical to driving the growth of this exciting division.
Key Responsibilities
- The Business Development Manager develops and grows key customer accounts through regular site visits
- Identify new commercial opportunities and convert them into long-term business
- Maintain a robust customer pipeline using CRM systems
- Represent the company at industry events and exhibitions—UK and overseas
- Collaborate with the marketing team to support campaigns and digital presence
- Deliver clear, accurate reporting and customer follow-ups
- Provide technical insight, particularly around ATEX requirements
- Generate and process quotes and sales orders
What We’re Looking For
- 4–5 years' experience in technical sales or account management
- Background in engineering (mechanical or electrical preferred)
- Strong communicator—written, verbal, and digital
- Proven ability to build long-lasting client relationships
- Bonus: Foreign language skills and ATEX knowledge
