Are you a Finance Business Partner looking for the next challenge in your career? My client is looking for a Finance Business Partner who can support the Business Planning and Treasury Manager in producing accurate and insightful financial analysis. You will be involved in cashflow meetings with the housing development team and will be heavily involved in scheme appraisals.

As a Finance Business Partner, you will be given responsibility for the property asset database, ensuring correct accounting for all property and capital transactions. You will lead on the budget and forecasting process, assisting with monthly management reports and year-end reporting.

Key responsibilities of the Finance Business Partner

  • Support and partner with budget holders to understand business objectives
  • Enhance relationships between budget holders and partner functions
  • Assist in the preparation of management reports and statutory accounts
  • Provide key financial information to management on development schemes
  • Assess development projects from a risk perspective and suggest corrective action
  • Maintain an awareness of tax implications for land acquisition and advise on strategies
  • Attend cashflow meetings with the development team and conduct scheme appraisals

Required skills and experience of the Finance Business Partner

  • Relevant Accountancy qualification or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 4-5 years experience within the Housing sector
  • Previous work with SQL would be highly beneficial
  • Strong relationship skills with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Confidence to challenge budget holders in a professional, credible and constructive manner
  • Experience of working within the development division of a Housing Association
