We are excited to introduce a new role within a wonderful organisation, Finance Director for Supply Chain. This pivotal position will provide leadership, guidance, and strategic direction across our three key business areas: Group Procurement, Logistics, and Manufacturing. As a member of the Supply Chain leadership team, the Finance Director will work closely with the Supply Chain Director to drive business performance and achieve financial objectives.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Provide analysis, insight, challenge, and direction on business and operational decisions alongside the Senior Management team.
  • Lead the business planning process, reviewing and challenging operational assumptions with Business Directors before critical decisions are taken.
  • Work with fellow Finance Directors to optimise value across Procurement, Logistics, and Manufacturing, delivering in line with budget and forecast commitments.
  • Develop and deploy the strategy for the three business areas in conjunction with the wider Senior Management team, providing rigorous financial analysis and insight to drive operational decision-making.
  • Protect the assets of the business, ensure compliance with financial regulations, and ensure appropriate care and diligence is taken in the corporate governance of the three business areas.
  • Create and lead a team of suitably qualified and experienced finance staff, developing both technical and soft skills within the team.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Qualified ACA, ACCA, or CIMA with considerable post-qualified experience in business finance/performance roles and accounting & financial control roles.
  • Experience in financial accounting, leading month-end close, building or operating in a control framework, and working with external auditors.
  • High proficiency in Excel and data analysis, with the ability to present information in a clear and concise way, both verbally and written.
  • Preferred experience includes financial leadership in supply chain and/or manufacturing sectors, with an understanding of relevant software systems (ERP & WMS systems) and best practice Procurement strategies.
