Role Summary:

We are seeking an ambitious Associate Solicitor to lead the Employment department, driving its expansion and development. This is a rare chance for someone with proven experience in employment law to step into a leadership role with future partnership prospects, while working in a firm that prioritises work-life balance and team support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Represent a wide range of private and public sector clients on all aspects of employment law — enhancing your profile and visibility in the sector

• Advise and support clients on the full range of employment tribunal litigation — ensuring strong outcomes and client trust

• Mentor and develop the employment team — shaping the next generation of employment law specialists

• Work collaboratively with colleagues in other departments — broadening your professional reach and strengthening cross-departmental relationships

Requirements:

• Proven experience advising both employers and employees across the full spectrum of employment law

• Strong technical, drafting, and client management skills

• Confident advocacy skills with the ability to represent clients effectively

• Ambition to progress towards partnership

• Excellent communication skills, able to translate complex legal matters into accessible advice

• Personable, commercially aware, and highly organised, with the ability to manage pressure and deadlines
