About:This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a leading food manufacturer based in Peterborough. Through continued success and results they are now looking to grow our finance team with a talented Site Accountant. This role will initially be on an interim or FTC basis, for a minimum of 6 months. The Role:As the Site Accountant, you will be a critical member of the site team, business partnering with the site lead and other members of the leadership team. The role will be responsible for driving financial performance, supporting strategic decision-making, and ensuring robust financial controls. This is a hands-on role with visibility across operations, working closely with production, supply chain, and commercial teams.Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and analyse site financial reports, including P&L, balance sheets, and variance analysis
  • Partner with site leadership to monitor KPIs and drive performance improvement
  • Lead budgeting and forecasting processes for the site
  • Manage cost control processes and identify efficiency opportunities
  • Ensure compliance with group accounting policies and statutory requirements
  • Support stock takes, product costing, and capital expenditure reporting
  • Liaise with group finance and contribute to group-wide projects as required
About You:
  • Qualified or Part-Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA)
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment (food industry a strong advantage)
  • Strong understanding of management accounting, cost accounting and financial controls
  • Confident communicator able to influence non-finance stakeholders
  • Proficient in ERP systems and Excel
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and driven to add value beyond the numbers
