Day-to-day of the role:- Assist the Head Chef in the preparation and presentation of both a la carte and standard menu items.
- Ensure the kitchen operations run smoothly during busy weekend shifts.
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene and follow the health and safety regulations.
- Manage and train kitchen staff to ensure quality and speedy service.
- Monitor inventory and order food supplies as needed.
- Contribute to menu development with innovative ideas.
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role.
- Culinary school diploma or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Strong understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
