Delt Shared Services is a unique, dynamic organisation dedicated to delivering exceptional IT, business support, and other professional services to public sector and not-for-profit organisations. As a publicly owned company with a strong social purpose, we enable our partners to achieve more by sharing resources, driving efficiencies, and fostering innovation.
We’ve grown to a £26M holistic support services business that delivers critical services to over a million people. Our current marketplace is predominantly the South West, but what we do can work anywhere. We are now operating across multiple sectors with opportunity for growth in volume, breadth and geography.
We are seeking an Independent Chair to lead our Board through continued growth and transformation. This is a strategic and influential role, requiring a seasoned leader with a strong understanding of corporate governance, stakeholder engagement, and commercial acumen.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide leadership to the Board, ensuring effective governance and decision-making. Support the development and execution of Delt’s strategic vision. Act as an ambassador for the organisation, building strong relationships with stakeholders across the public sector and beyond. Oversee risk management and performance monitoring to ensure long-term sustainability and success. Uphold the values and social purpose of Delt Shared Services.
Who We’re Looking For:
An experienced Chair or Non-Executive Director with a strong track record of leadership at board level. Proven ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments. A deep understanding of governance, risk, and strategic development. The ability to challenge and support the executive team in driving performance and innovation. Passion for delivering public value and a commitment to social impact.
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a significant impact on an organisation that delivers vital services across the region. If you have the vision, leadership, and expertise to guide Delt’s future, we would love to hear from you.
