Job Description: Construction Site Manager

Role Overview:
The Construction Site Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day on-site coordination of construction activities, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of safety and quality. This role is crucial in driving progress, managing subcontractors, and ensuring compliance with site health and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage all site operations and ensure work is completed in accordance with plans, specifications, and deadlines.
Liaise with project stakeholders including clients, engineers, subcontractors, and regulatory bodies.
Coordinate and supervise on-site personnel, subcontractors, and materials.
Monitor and enforce site Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards and compliance.
Conduct regular site inspections and progress meetings.
Maintain daily site records including reports, logs, and risk assessments.
Manage logistics including deliveries, equipment, and site security.
Support project planning, sequencing of works, and scheduling of trades.
Respond to any issues or delays and implement contingency plans as required.
Ensure quality control and compliance with construction regulations and contractual obligations.
Key Skills & Experience:
Proven experience in a Site Manager or Construction Manager role.
Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
Demonstrable leadership and people management skills.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with health & safety practices, including CDM regulations.
Proficiency in reading construction drawings and plans.
SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certifications (preferred or required).
Qualifications:
Relevant construction/trade qualifications or apprenticeship background.
Additional training in health and safety or project management is advantageous.
