Role responsibilities
- Managing and delivering audit assignments from planning through to completion
- Supervising and reviewing the work of audit seniors and trainees
- Acting as the main point of contact for clients, providing advice and resolving technical queries
- Reviewing statutory accounts and audit files in line with FRS 102 and auditing standards
- Managing budgets, deadlines and team resourcing to ensure smooth delivery
- Leading and contributing to internal training and development of junior team members
- Supporting business development activities and building strong relationships within the local business community

Candidate requirements
- ACA or ACCA qualified with significant audit experience in a UK accountancy practice
- Strong knowledge of UK auditing standards and financial reporting under FRS 102
- Proven ability to lead audit teams and manage a varied portfolio of clients
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Confident handling client relationships and delivering strategic advice
- A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a focus on team development
