About the role:
This is a newly created senior leadership position, reporting directly to the CEO and sitting on the board. You'll take full ownership of the finance function, leading a small team and acting as a key voice in business-critical decisions.
What you’ll be doing:
- Oversee all core financial operations, including reporting, forecasting, and treasury
- Lead and develop the finance team to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement
- Act as the key point of contact for external advisors and stakeholders
- Support the board with commercial analysis and financial strategy
- Play a hands-on role in appraising and delivering new investment opportunities
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- 5+ years post-qualified experience, ideally with exposure to project-based or asset-heavy businesses
- Strong financial modelling skills and a sharp commercial mindset
- Proven ability to balance strategic leadership with day-to-day financial oversight
- A confident communicator who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
- Experience in capital raising or funding structures
- Background in development, investment, or construction finance (not essential)
- Work closely with an experienced board and leadership team
