We are looking for an experienced Fire Quantity Surveyor with a strong understanding of the housing and commercial sector, specialising in Fire. To join a contractor in the Plymouth area on a permanent basis.

The successful candidate will receive a company car or car allowance, 23 days annual leave plus bank holidays and 50,000 - 55,000, dependent on experience.

As an Fire Quantity Surveyor, you will receive:

As an Fire Quantity Surveyor, your responsibilities will be:
  • Obtain accurate and competitive quotations that will generate business for the company
  • Attending and contributing to tender meetings
  • Procurement and negotiation of materials, sub/contractors, and equipment
  • To work in conjunction with architects, engineers, project managers and clients to ratify/qualify their requirements
  • Identify and quantify potential risk that may impact project costs.
  • Track and document project costs and estimate revisions
  • To act as point of contact for clients in the primary stages of any quote/project.
  • Working closely with the design and sales director, contracts manager and operations director
  • Send the bids

Fire Quantity Surveyor requirements:
  • A relevant HNC and commercial experience and knowledge of Quantity Surveying or Management Accounting.
  • Experience with construction or maintenance works.
  • Experience of managing and procuring for high-value contracts, with a working knowledge of relevant contract management and procurement legislation.
  • You will be proficient in the use of NHF Rates and Contracts and how to use them to achieve value for money and best practice commercially.
  • Demonstrable experience of working with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure strict financial controls and value for money are adhered to within service delivery.
  • Understanding of Fire Safety
