About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our groundworks and civil engineering team. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing project costs, ensuring financial efficiency, and supporting the delivery of groundworks projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare, manage, and monitor project budgets, cost plans, and valuations.

Carry out measurement, take-offs, and prepare bills of quantities for groundworks and civil engineering packages.

Manage subcontractor procurement, tendering, and contract administration.

Assess, value, and certify subcontractor applications and variations.

Monitor project progress and prepare accurate monthly cost reports.

Identify, manage, and mitigate commercial risks.

Liaise with clients, site teams, and stakeholders to ensure financial transparency.

Provide support with final accounts and project close-out.
Requirements

Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in groundworks / civil engineering.

Strong knowledge of NEC/JCT contracts and construction law.

Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

Proficiency in cost management software and MS Office.

Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).

Strong attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines.
