- Lead, motivate and develop production teams to optimise performance and achieve operational targets.
- Manage departmental labour deployment to ensure all areas are appropriately resourced.
- Oversee raw material usage in line with allocation, escalating and resolving issues to minimise losses.
- Track, analyse, and report departmental KPIs and performance data, ensuring accurate and timely information is provided to senior management.
- Drive and maintain full compliance with statutory and regulatory standards including health and safety, environmental legislation, building regulations, fire safety and electrical requirements.
- Support and coordinate compliance audits and inspections, ensuring timely implementation of corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate documentation of inspections, certifications, permits and compliance records.
- Oversee day to day site operations, including maintenance, repairs, and upgrades, ensuring facilities, assets and equipment meet required standards and operate within budget.
- Manage and monitor service contracts, ensuring agreed standards are achieved and delivered consistently.
- Coordinate and implement planned preventive maintenance with internal teams and external contractors.
- Lead the planning, development and execution of capital and revenue projects, driving continuous site improvement and modernisation in line with business objectives.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures relevant to the site and working environment.
- Previous experience working in a Management capacity within a manufacturing facility is required
- HACCP level 2 qualification desirable
- IOSH Managing Safely desirable
- Good people management, developing and training staff as appropriate
- Salary of £40,000pa - £45,000 pa
