Elevation Recruitment are excited to be exclusively supporting a bespoke manufacturer of leisure equipment who are looking for a proactive and experienced Production Manager to oversee their manufacturing operations. Working across fibreglass moulding, finishing, and assembly, you’ll play a key role in ensuring products are delivered on time, to spec, and with a strong focus on safety and quality.
This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone with a background in high volume bespoke production and a solid track record of managing teams and improving processes on the shop floor.
Key Responsibilities of the Production Manager include:
- Lead day-to-day production activities across fibreglass moulding, trimming, and finishing lines
- Manage a team of skilled operatives ensuring targets are met on time, in full
- Monitor production output and implement improvements to reduce waste, downtime, and rework
- Ensure adherence to health & safety procedures, with a particular focus on resin handling, ventilation, PPE, and COSHH regulations
- Drive quality control throughout the process, working to maintain high product standards
- Collaborate with sales, engineering, and dispatch to ensure smooth workflow and timely deliveries
- Maintain accurate production records and reporting of KPIs
- Support and lead continuous improvement initiatives, including layout optimisation and process development
- Train and develop staff and drive a continuous improvement and safety first culture
We’re looking for Production Managers with the below skills & experience:
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to drive performance and a positive team culture
- Solid understanding of and experience implementing lean manufacturing methodologies
- Familiarity with resin systems, gelcoats, mould prep, and curing processes would be advantageous
- A strong focus on health & safety, ideally IOSH qualified
- Good organisational and planning skills
- Competent with production systems and IT (MRP/ERP experience beneficial)
