Welder/Fabricator - 拢14.50 - 拢16.00 per hour
We are working closely with our client who is looking for a metal Fabricator/Welder to build high-quality acoustic enclosures for our clients. Responsible for reading and interpreting engineering 2D & 3D drawings, fabricating & welding metal components or structures, and performing quality checks on finished products. Our Fabricator/Welder鈥檚 have advanced knowledge of industrial metalwork, a good eye for detail, and excellent mathematical skills to construct high-quality products to exact specifications.
Responsibilities
路 Reading and interpreting engineering 2D & 3D Drawings.
路 Measuring and marking out cutting and bending lines.
路 Ensuring that all required parts for assembly are present.
路 Double-checking design specifications before commencing with work.
路 Fabricating and constructing metal components.
路 Grinding and finishing completed products.
路 Performing quality checks on completed products.
路 Conforming with company Health & Safety regulations.
路 Completing quality check sheets.
Requirements
Previous work experience as a metal fabricator welder.
Previously experience working with mild steel, Zintec & galvanised sheet. Ranging from 0.9mm to 30mm.
Previous experience working with mild steel 2mm to 10mm
Proficiency in operating an overhead crane is an advantage.
Welding experience/certification is an advantage.
Advanced knowledge of engineering design and manufacturing procedures.
Ability to read and interpret engineering 2D & 3D Drawings.
Proficiency with metal fabrication tools.
Advanced mathematical and engineering skills.
Ability to lift and manipulate large metal objects.
Ability to stand for long periods.
Working Hours
The working hours for this position are 40 hours per week, from 7am to 4pm, Monday to Thursday and from 7am to 1pm on Friday. The business is closed for Bank Holidays, we also enjoy a shutdown every Christmas until after the New Year.
