Our client, a well-established independent accountancy based in Poole, are looking for a full time professional, self-motivated and adaptable individual with excellent IT, communication and organisational skills. Experience of working within a similar role is preferred but training can be given to the right candidate. Minimum requirement for this role is AAT Level 2 or similar.

Main duties:

  • Bookkeeping for a variety of clients (using primarily Sage, Excel and Cloud Based)
  • VAT returns
  • Payroll processing
  • Reconciling PAYE, purchase and Sales Ledger
  • Accounts preparation work
  • Full and direct client liaison
  • Advising and training clients and their staff on their own record keeping

It is essential that you are highly numerate, good at planning and prioritising, have great time keeping skills and are able to work independently. A logical and analytical approach is important as well as excellent communication.

Training/assistance will be given where required but this person must have good bookkeeping/accounting foundation as this is a demanding role but for the right person it is also a rewarding position.

This role would suit and require someone who is independent, methodical and self-disciplined with ability to think on their feet and adapt quickly.

It would be advantageous that you have a driving licence as some client visits may be required on occasions. But the office is also very accessible by public transport too.

Office Working hours are Monday - Thursday, 9:00am - 5.00pm and Friday 9.00am - 3.00pm.
