We're seeking a Logistics Manager for a leading freight operator, responsible for managing port and vessel operations, freight logistics, and stakeholder relationships to ensure efficiency, compliance, and high service levels. Description

This role will be predominately based in the head office in Poole with occasional travel to their site in France. As Logistics Manager you will be reporting into the Head of Freight and can expect to have the following responsibilities:

  • Overseeing all aspects of freight logistics, including scheduling, capacity planning, and real-time operations

  • Managing relationships with key stakeholders, including hauliers, port authorities, and internal teams

  • Ensuring the highest levels of health and safety compliance across port and vessel operations

  • Leading, motivating, and developing a diverse operations team to deliver performance targets

  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives to optimise processes and enhance customer satisfaction

  • Monitoring and managing KPIs around service levels, cost, and operational efficiency

  • Supporting sustainability and innovation projects to enhance the environmental performance of operations

Profile

The successful Logistics Manager candidate will come with the following skillset:
