A growing manufacturing business is searching for a Production Manager to join their Poole based team for an exciting and highly progressive opportunity.Your RoleWhile in this position your duties may include but will not be limited to:
  • Enforcing Health & Safety policies, ensuring compliance, proper reporting, and provision of required safety equipment and workwear
  • Maintaining strong housekeeping standards with 5S principles embedded in daily operations
  • Overseeing staff to ensure duties align with company policies, ISO procedures, and training guides
  • Reviewing and improving processes to embed lean practices and promote continuous improvement
  • Supporting Works Order planning and taking full ownership of execution
  • Managing the timely reordering and replenishment of all badging consumables, including heat seal transfers
  • Leading and developing the team, including recruitment, training, monthly 1:1s, performance management, return-to-work interviews, and resource planning to meet SLAs, demand, and budget
  • Raising purchase orders in line with workload and customer demand
  • Ensuring all machinery, equipment, and vehicles are maintained, serviced, and safe for use, with contracts and preventative measures in place
  • Overseeing training compliance, ensuring staff sign relevant procedures, toolbox talks, and guides before carrying out activities, and support in creating/updating training materials
  • Monitoring and maintaining stock levels of internal-use products (e.g., packaging, labels, paper)
  • Producing management reports, KPIs, and data analysis to support operational oversight

  • Exposure to a manufacturing environment and badging/production remit
  • Excellent communication skills, with a proactive approach and can-do attitude
  • Good team manager, with vital leadership skills
