Senior Production Engineer
Our client an impressive Poole based engineering business are looking for a Senior Production Engineer to join their team.This position will play a crucial role in maintaining and improving manufacturing processes and equipment. A position of responsibility, you would be involved with supporting, guiding, and training operators, proposing and managing multiple projects, ensuring health and safety standards, and be a true champion in continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities as Senior Production Engineer
- Maintain and improve manufacturing processes and procedures
- Support, guide, and train operators
- Prepare and manage proposals and projects
- Ensure health and safety standards are upheld
- Verify and provide training on programs to team members with less experience
- Coordinate project teams and work load
- Produce programs for a variety of multi-axis CNC machines
- Collaborate on the design of new cutting tools
- Utilise the MRP/ERP system to update production engineering information
Qualifications and Experience as Senior Production Engineer
- Experience in a manufacturing/machining position
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite and CAM software
- Strong communication and delegation skills
- Ability to liaise across departments confidently
- Knowledge of continuous improvement and lean initiatives
- Experience in project management and cost-saving measures
- Ability to run and coordinate project teams
