Our client is a precision engineering company, looking to expand their quality team by hiring a Quality Inspector

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Create and validate First Article Inspection Reports to meet customer standards
  • Using CMM and using PC-DMIS to inspect precision-machined parts
  • Conduct inspections on the shop floor and perform final release inspection
  • Using traditional measuring equipment (verniers, micrometers, height gauges, shadow graphs, beam gauge, etc.)
  • Accurately document inspection results and maintain quality data within the company QMS/MRP system
  • Work with other departments, such as, Production, Engineering and Management to resolve non-conformances and drive continuous improvement

Ideal Candidate:

  • Competence in CMM operation and PC-DMIS programming (Desirable)
  • Proven experience as a Quality Inspector in a precision-machining environment
  • Good knowledge of FAIR requirements and dimensional inspection techniques
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to read complex engineering drawings
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Self-motivated, organised and able to manage priorities in a fast-paced setting
