A leading manufacturer with a state-of-the-art facility in Port Talbot is seeking dedicated Production Operatives to join their growing team.  With a diverse customer base ranging from global blue-chip companies to bespoke clients, this is an exciting opportunity to be part of a thriving and innovative environment.

The Role:

As a Production Operative, you’ll be an integral part of a shift team, working under the guidance of a Team Leader. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Setting machinery to meet precise manufacturing specifications.
  • Producing aluminium cans to exact quality and dimensional standards.
  • Maintaining a safe and organised work environment.
  • Conducting quality checks using specialist instruments (full training provided).
  • Reading and executing production schedules.
  • Ensuring materials are available to avoid production delays.
  • Identifying and reporting machinery anomalies and performing basic maintenance.
  • Assisting with equipment preparation during line changeovers.

What We’re Looking For:

  • GCSEs in Mathematics and English (essential).
  • NVQ in Manufacturing (desirable).
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or FMCG environment (desirable).
  • A proactive, safety-conscious, and team-oriented mindset.

Shifts & Benefits:

  • 3-shift rotation: 06:00–14:00, 14:00–22:00, 22:00–06:00 with a 30% shift allowance.
  • Potential for continental shifts (06:00–18:00 or 18:00–06:00) with a 40% shift allowance.
