We work with colleges across Swansea and South Wales. The roles are temporary ongoing during term times and hours can be part-time and full-time depending on availability at the college.

Job Title: Learning Support Worker
Position: Part-Time/Full-Time

Location: Port Talbot
Rate: £13.68p/h to £14.50p/h including holiday pay
Successful Teaching Assistants will have the following skills and qualifications:
- Minimum Level 2 qualification as a Teaching Assistant - desirable
- Level 2 or equivalent qualification in English & Maths
- Good interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage challenging behaviour
- Experience working with adults/teenagers or children with special education needs
- Excellent administrative and organisational skills
- Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through Reed Compliance
Responsibilities:
- To provide one-to-one support and supervision of students with special education needs/learning difficulties and disabilities within the classroom
- To encourage the learners to excel to reach their full academic potential
- To support learners with their literacy and numeracy
- To create, monitor and review SMART targets
- To manage challenging behaviour, where necessary
- To maintain accurate records of learners’ progress
