Supply Chain Coordinator

Port Talbot

To £33,500 depending on experience

We are looking for an organised, analytical and proactive Supply Chain Coordinator to join a supportive and established team in Port Talbot. If you have experience in expediting, purchasing, logistics, or supply chain management, this could be a great next step in your career.

In this role, you'll ensure that packaging and raw materials flow smoothly to meet production demands, while helping to keep costs under control. You will build strong working relationships with both suppliers and internal teams, playing a key role in maintaining an efficient and effective supply chain.

The Role

  • Manage open purchase orders and track progress to ensure timely delivery
  • Coordinate the movement of materials from suppliers to production
  • Forecast material requirements based on production plans
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships
  • Work closely with internal departments to ensure alignment
  • Monitor supplier and internal performance
  • Maintain accurate records within Sage to support MRP processes
  • Support quality management systems by resolving supply-related queries

The Person

  • Background in supply chain, expediting, logistics or purchasing,
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Confident communicator with a collaborative approach
  • Able to identify and suggest improvements to existing processes
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and well organised
  • Ideally holds an HND or equivalent qualification (or relevant experience)
