Description
As the Finance Assistant you will be responsible for:
- Supporting the Accounts Department in managing, processing and troubleshooting various accounts and transactions.
- Compile and analyse financial information to prepare entries to accounts.
- Assist with budget preparation and financial planning processes.
- Help with conducting audits and providing recommendations for improving procedures and systems for initiating, operating, and controlling financial activities.
- Assist with producing accurate financial reports to specific deadlines.
- Manage day-to-day transactions.
- Report on discrepancies and problems, and create ad hoc reports when needed.
- Contribute to continuous improvement in the Accounting & Finance Department.
Profile
As the successful Accounts Assistant should have:
- A strong understanding of accounting principles.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software - ideally Sage Line 50
- Excellent analytical skills, with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
- Good business acumen for problem-solving.
- Confidentiality, integrity, and professional ethics.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Teamwork skills and the ability to work independently.
