Source Solutions are working with a trusted and reputable employer in Portsmouth, who work on the cutting edge of technology and engineering, to recruit an experienced Quality Engineer (geared towards QMS Improvement), on a permanent basis at their main site in Portsmouth, working a day shift Monday to Friday.
The main thrust of this position, is to initially work closely with process owners throughout the business, mentoring and supporting them in furthering their own quality control and assurance, helping them to understand and execute RCA investigative methodologies, thus further-fostering a quality-first culture of responsibility. The Quality Engineer would almost be seen as an internal consultant to the many process owners and departments.
The Quality Engineer will then develop the role, where they will seek out improvements to the QMS and to other quality practices and implement changes, whilst understanding their impact on the wider business. Drawing from a wider Quality Team, the Quality Engineer will collaborate in championing a culture of quality and continuous improvement across the entire business.
Quality Engineer profile:
- Background in Quality, regulatory and/or continuous improvement roles within manufacturing/engineering
- Proficiency in RCA and various relevant methodologies
- Demonstrable experience in driving QMS improvements
- Personable and able to work closely with and mentor process owners, working collaboratively and openly - must be adaptable and flexible
