Senior ArchitectLocation: PortsmouthSalary: £45-55,000 (depending on experience)

We are representing a well-established and respected architectural practice in Portsmouth that is looking to appoint a talented Senior Architect to join its growing team. With a strong reputation for delivering innovative, sustainable, and client-focused design solutions, the practice works across a broad portfolio that includes commercial, education, healthcare, and mixed-use projects.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Architect who is eager to take on a leadership role, oversee significant projects, and contribute to the continued success of a forward-thinking practice.

Key Requirements:
  • ARB-registered Architect with proven post-qualification experience in UK practice

  • Excellent design and technical skills, with strong proficiency in Revit (essential)

  • In-depth knowledge of UK building regulations, planning legislation, and RIBA work stages

  • Experience leading projects through all stages, ideally within education, commercial, or healthcare sectors

  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to guide teams and liaise effectively with clients and stakeholders

  • Track record of successfully managing multiple projects, budgets, and deadlines

  • Full, clean driving licence

  • Based in or within commuting distance of Portsmouth

Role Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage projects from concept to completion, ensuring design excellence and technical accuracy

  • Provide leadership within the design team, supporting and mentoring colleagues where required

  • Act as a primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and contractors, building and maintaining strong professional relationships

  • Deliver high-quality design solutions with a strong emphasis on sustainability and innovation

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, planning policy, and best practice guidance

  • Contribute to the strategic development of the practice and play an active role in business growth
