Our client is a large-sized organisation based in Portsmouth and they are seeking some interim support within their finance function.
Description
- Oversee the overall financial management, planning, systems, and controls.
- Manage budgeting process.
- Develop and maintain financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and petty cash.
- Coordinate the preparation of financial statements, financial reports, and special analyses.
- Ensure financial compliance within regulations.
- Provide financial outlook reports and financial forecasts.
- Manage and coordinate the annual audit process.
- Work with the senior leadership team on strategic financial planning.
Profile
A successful Finance Manager should have:
- Ideally a degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.
- Be working towards a professional qualification or be qualified by experience
- Experience in financial management and reporting activities.
- Knowledge of accounting in accordance with UK Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- Proficiency with accounting software and experience with a software system implementation.
- A keen eye for detail and desire to probe further into data.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
