Our client require a Finance Manager to join their team on a short term basis. The candidate must be available to start immediately and must have experience of Charity accounting.

Description

* To administer the bank and investments accounts including payments by BACS and cheque and international transactions, being responsible for all reconciliation tasks.* To maintain the accounting system (Sage and Sage Payroll). * To be responsible for the handling of cash including counting of collection and payment into the bank. * To monitor cash flow and prepare reports as required* To prepare monthly management accounts and with the Chief Operating Officer meet with department heads to review financial performance on a regular basis, including attending management meetings. * To process monthly payroll for salaries and sessional payments including pension contributions, and associated submissions to HMRC.

* To produce the necessary paperwork for new starters and leavers. * To create and issue invoices as appropriate, maintaining a credit ledger of outstanding creditors, work with colleagues to ensure all activity is correctly invoiced in a timely way.

* To process internal transfers and expense/reimbursement claims from staff, including reallocating income to correct nominal accounts when paid through contactless giving systems. * To prepare the monthly bank reconciliation and associated accounts and produce management accounts.

* To work with the Chief Operating Officer in the preparation and any subsequent revision, of the annual budget consulting with budget holders and supporting reforecasting as necessary.

Profile

* Familiarity and previous experience of undertaking a similar role in a small finance team (preferably charity)* Familiarity and past experience of using Sage* Experience of management accounting and production of management reports and analysis * Experience of running payroll for a similar sized organisation* Flexibility to undertake other finance tasks in the absence of the other team member* Committed to equal opportunities and inclusivity* Preparedness to undertake safeguarding and GDPR training as required.
