Description

As the Finance Assistant you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the Accounts Department in managing, processing and troubleshooting various accounts and transactions.
  • Compile and analyse financial information to prepare entries to accounts.
  • Assist with budget preparation and financial planning processes.
  • Help with conducting audits and providing recommendations for improving procedures and systems for initiating, operating, and controlling financial activities.
  • Assist with producing accurate financial reports to specific deadlines.
  • Manage day-to-day transactions.
  • Report on discrepancies and problems, and create ad hoc reports when needed.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement in the Accounting & Finance Department.

Profile

As the successful Accounts Assistant should have:

  • A strong understanding of accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software - ideally Sage Line 50
  • Excellent analytical skills, with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Good business acumen for problem-solving.
  • Confidentiality, integrity, and professional ethics.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Teamwork skills and the ability to work independently.
