A specialist SEN school is seeking a proactive and experienced Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to join their team on a full-time, short-term basis, starting as soon as possible.

Role Overview
You will lead and manage the school's SEND provision, ensuring that pupils receive high-quality, tailored support. The role involves working closely with staff, families, and external agencies to coordinate interventions and maintain compliance with statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage SEND provision across the school
- Support staff in identifying and meeting pupils' needs
- Coordinate and maintain EHCPs and related documentation
- Liaise with parents, carers, and external professionals
- Monitor pupil progress and lead on effective interventions
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- National Award for SEN Coordination (or willingness to work towards it)
- Experience working in SEN settings
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
