Accountable Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a growing, UK based Manufacturing organisation as they look to recruit a Management Accountant to join their finance team at their head office on the Wirral.
This is a site based role in Birkenhead.
This opportunity is ideal for a part qualified Management Accountant to join a highly recognisable and unique business.
Salary/benefits:

Job Duties:
- Assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts, including profit & loss, variance analysis, and KPIs
- Performing key month-end activities such as journal postings, accruals, prepayments, and cost centre reviews
- Assisting with balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining supporting schedules
- Supporting budgeting and forecasting cycles in collaboration with operational teams
- Performing bank, credit card, and cash reconciliations
- Assisting in the preparation and submission of VAT returns, ensuring compliance with HMRC requirements
- Identifying opportunities to improve reporting processes, automate tasks, and strengthen financial controls
- Supporting internal and external audit requirements
- Undertaking ad hoc reporting and financial analysis to aid operational decisions
Ideal experience
- Part-qualified accountant (CIMA preferred, ACCA/AAT also considered)
- Experience in a similar finance role or within a management accounting function
- Confident with accruals, prepayments, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Excellent Excel skills and familiarity with accounting systems (e.g. Sage, SAP, Oracle - training provided if needed)
- Experience in manufacturing environments is advantageous but not essential
