Your new companyHays Education Wirral are a market-leading recruitment agency. We are working with a Wirral based primary school to recruit a primary teacher to work in Key Stage 1 from September 2025.As Education specialists, we can support you in finding the right role for you. This post is full-time and for one-year fixed term in the first instance.

Your new roleAs the KS1 class teacher, you will be responsible for supporting the children and working with a part-time teaching assistant, you will plan and deliver engaging but suitably challenging lessons for a mixed ability group. You will be joining a close-knit, hardworking team where you will have the support of your peers to get the best from the children in your care.

What you'll need to succeedTo be successful in securing this KS1 class teaching job you will:

  • Have UK Qualified Teacher Status
  • Have experience of working with the KS1 curriculum
  • Have excellent communication skills
  • Be able to plan and deliver lessons that will keep children engaged on track for their learning journeys

If you don't have a PGCE, QTS, QTLS or recent teaching experience, you can register as a Teaching Assistant or cover supervisor, provided you have worked with children for 1 month in the past 4 years. We welcome applicants who are currently working for other agencies.
