Operations Manager / Head of Operations

We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager / Head of Operations with a strong construction background to join our growing team. Based in Knowsley and covering the North West, this role will oversee small building works and roofing projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality.



Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee day-to-day operational delivery across small building works and roofing projects.

  • Lead site teams, ensuring compliance with company policies, RAMS, and health & safety legislation.

  • Monitor budgets, programmes, and resources to achieve operational targets.

  • Work closely with the Commercial Manager and report directly to Tom on project progress and performance.

  • Maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships, ensuring excellent service delivery.

  • Provide leadership, support, and mentoring to site staff and supervisors.



Requirements

  • Proven experience in an operations leadership role within construction (small works and/or roofing experience advantageous).

  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, H&S compliance, and project delivery.

  • Commercial awareness with experience managing budgets and resources.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.

  • A track record of successfully managing multiple projects across a region.



Package

  • Salary: 55,000 - 60,000 (dependent on experience)
