Operations Support

Purpose:

Assisting in the delivery of operations at the Reuse and Support Centre. The main function of the role is to assist the process of end-to-end Logistics while managing stock levels, processes and systems. Responsibilities include assisting in budget control, performance reporting and project planning of Recycle, Repair, Refurbishment, Resell plans.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Managing the delivery of Supply Chain support to the main business.
  • Identifying opportunities to deliver operational improvements across Reuse and Ops support
  • Working with internal and external stakeholders to ensure technical support through analysis and diagnosis of maintenance issues from field colleagues.
  • Working with the Property Development and Capital Managers on asset replacements plans.
  • Using key data analysis to develop leading and lagging measures that directly support the Center and that can be used to demonstrate performance.
  • Controlling stock inventory of assets, parts, hardware.
  • Using key data analysis to develop leading and lagging budgetary measures that demonstrate to profitability of the Center
  • In agreement with the Supply Chain Manager, assist on the implementation of Operations Support Improvement Plans
  • Overseeing Health and Safety by ensuring that all workshops and office are safe and compliant with the H&S at Work Act.
  • Monitoring that all colleagues adhere to our policies and procedures and have the correct training and tools.
  • Working with departments to help support deliver projects across the business.
  • Help maintain strong working relationships with suppliers and external resources to ensure delivery of great service.
  • Ensuring a consistent approach across processes while identifying opportunities within the department such as budget savings and efficiency initiatives.
  • Constantly strive to improve all areas of the department through direct report collaborations.
  • Assisting with improvement projects complete with reports and tracking measures.
  • Monitors & weekly reporting of Performance KPI

Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

Operational skills relevant for this job:

  • Knowledge of supply chain processes
  • Knowledge of Refurbishment processes
  • Working understanding of Microsoft Office tools, (particularly Excel, )

Experience relevant for this job:

  • Previous supply chain experience
  • Previous understanding of Engineering and Maintenance processes
  • Comfortable working with and analysing large data sets
  • Customer service skills
  • Commercial Awareness
  • Advocate to Continuous improvement
