A growing and well-regarded structural steel specialist is looking to appoint a Structural Engineer with experience in steel connection design. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious engineer to join a busy and technically strong team delivering structural steel solutions for a range of UK projects.
Key Responsibilities:-
Design and calculation of structural steel connections and frames

Prepare detailed technical drawings and fabrication models using Tekla Structures and AutoCAD

Liaise with in-house detailers, project managers, and external stakeholders to ensure technical accuracy and timely delivery

Review architectural and structural designs to develop effective and efficient steelwork solutions

Ensure compliance with relevant design codes, building regulations, and safety standards

Experience working in the structural steel industry, with a strong focus on steel connection design

Proficiency in Tekla Structures and AutoCAD is essential

Solid understanding of Eurocodes and UK structural design standards

Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering (or equivalent)

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
