A growing and well-regarded structural steel specialist is looking to appoint a Structural Engineer with experience in steel connection design. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious engineer to join a busy and technically strong team delivering structural steel solutions for a range of UK projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and calculation of structural steel connections and frames

  • Prepare detailed technical drawings and fabrication models using Tekla Structures and AutoCAD

  • Liaise with in-house detailers, project managers, and external stakeholders to ensure technical accuracy and timely delivery

  • Review architectural and structural designs to develop effective and efficient steelwork solutions

  • Ensure compliance with relevant design codes, building regulations, and safety standards

Requirements:
  • Experience working in the structural steel industry, with a strong focus on steel connection design

  • Proficiency in Tekla Structures and AutoCAD is essential

  • Solid understanding of Eurocodes and UK structural design standards

  • Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering (or equivalent)

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
