Are you passionate about justice, road safety, and making a tangible difference in your community? The local police force is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable PLP Supervisor to lead and support their Police Led Prosecutions team based in Hutton.

About the Role

As a PLP Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient operation of Police Led Prosecutions. You will support and develop Court Presentation Officers (CPOs), promote continuous improvement, and help bring offenders to justice—ultimately contributing to safer roads and communities across Lancashire.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert guidance on legislation, force policies, and procedures.
  • Oversee the preparation and quality assurance of prosecution files.
  • Present evidence in Magistrates’ Court and ensure cases are trial-ready.
  • Collaborate with CPS, HMCTS, and other key partners.
  • Represent the SRU Prosecution Manager when required.
  • Lead and support the CPO team, including recruitment, training, and performance management.
  • Monitor legal compliance and procedural standards across the PLP team.
  • Contribute to the development of efficient criminal justice processes.
  • Provide regular court support and manage specified offence cases.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to promote prosecution objectives.
