Ledger Supervisor - £28,000-£32,000 DOEPreston / Hybrid(Permanent)
This Ledger Supervisor job has been created due to internal movement within a well-established and growing transport business based in Preston. You’ll be stepping into a key role within a small, high-performing finance team, with full ownership of both purchase and sales ledger processes.
This is a hands-on job where your day-to-day will involve overseeing high-volume transactional activity, managing a small team, and ensuring everything from invoice processing to account reconciliations runs smoothly and on time. With over 5,000 transactions a month, attention to detail is vital - but so is confidence, structure, and the ability to lead from the front.
You’ll thrive in this job if you’ve got strong ledger experience, ideally across both purchase and sales, and are ready to step into a leadership role or build on your existing team management experience. You’ll be trusted to run the function independently, take ownership of reporting and reconciliations, and play a big part in tightening processes as the company moves towards greater automation and system improvement.
This job offers hybrid working - three days in the office and two from home once you’ve completed an initial training period. The environment is fast-paced but supportive, with no micromanagement and weekly finance team catch-ups that keep everyone aligned and engaged.
There’s plenty of opportunity for progression, whether that’s into broader finance roles or moving across into account management further down the line. This is a job for someone who wants stability, ownership, and the chance to genuinely influence how the function operates.
