Farleys Solicitors LLP is seeking a proactive and committed Criminal Executive to join our busy and respected Criminal Law department at our Preston office. Our Criminal Law team is known for its professionalism, integrity, and dedication to achieving the best outcomes for clients. We handle a wide range of matters, from police station attendances and magistrates' court hearings to serious and complex Crown Court cases.

The Role

As a Criminal Executive, you will support our solicitors in the preparation and management of criminal cases. Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing case files and legal documentation
  • Attending magistrates' court and supporting solicitors at hearings
  • Liaising with clients, counsel, and external agencies
  • Conducting legal research and assisting with trial preparation
  • Ensuring compliance with procedural and regulatory requirements

This role offers meaningful exposure to varied criminal matters and the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals in a supportive environment.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for individuals who demonstrate:

  • Previous experience in criminal law (as a paralegal, legal executive, or similar role)
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Excellent IT skills
  • A professional and empathetic approach to client care
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A genuine interest in criminal defence and public law

Police Station Accreditation is not required for this role, though a willingness to pursue accreditation in future would be welcomed.
