Our client is a Global Healthcare Business based in the Northwest of the UK. Their products are household names across the world, and they are looking to bring in a Regulatory Compliance Manager to head up their Regulatory and Compliance team.

The primary responsibility of this role will be to prepare relevant regulatory submissions and present the same to the appropriate Authorities, for the registration and approval for sale of the company’s products, ensuring its products and packaging are legal in all countries in which it trades.

This is a newly created role and will offer the successful candidate an opportunity to shape the future of the Quality and Compliance department.

Other responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Preparation and submission of Pharmaceutical and Food registrations
  • Maintaining compliance with current labelling and ingredient regulations and provide professional advice to other departments regarding any potential risks associated with these regulations.
  • Providing technical help and advice to other departments enabling them to make appropriate decisions that will maintain the Company’s overall compliance with legislation.
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the department and wider company
  • Keeping up to date with changes in all relevant Regulatory Standards and Requirements.
  • Ensuring the Company’s continued product, ingredient and labelling compliance through the identification and interpretation of new legislation and working alongside other parties
  • Offering help and support in areas of product regulatory compliance, if needed, during External Inspections e.g. ISO, MHRA, Environmental Health, Customs & Excise
  • Carrying out assigned duties as an Internal Auditor.

Suitable candidates for this role will be qualified to degree level or equivalent in a Scientific subject and have demonstrable experience working in a Senior Quality and / or Compliance role in a highly regulated manufacturing industry (eg Pharmaceutical, Food, Chemicals).
