About the Role:

As a Teacher of Mathematics, you will be instrumental in delivering engaging and effective lessons across Key Stages [Specify KS3, KS4, KS5 if applicable]. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning, preparing, and delivering high-quality Maths lessons that cater to the diverse learning needs of our students.
  • Creating a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that fosters curiosity, encourages active participation, and builds confidence in mathematical concepts.
  • Utilising a range of effective teaching methodologies and resources to ensure outstanding progress and engagement for all learners.
  • Assessing, recording, and reporting on student progress accurately and effectively, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of the Maths curriculum and departmental resources.
  • Collaborating effectively with colleagues within the Maths department and across the school to share best practices and contribute to a positive school culture.
  • For ECTs: Benefiting from our comprehensive and supportive ECT induction programme, with dedicated mentoring and tailored professional development.
  • For experienced teachers: Sharing your expertise within the department, potentially mentoring ECTs, and embracing opportunities for leadership and further professional growth.
  • Contributing to extracurricular activities that promote mathematical understanding and enjoyment (desirable).
  • Maintaining high standards of student behaviour in line with the school's behaviour policy.

What We Are Looking For:

  • A qualified teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
  • For ECTs: A strong passion for mathematics and a commitment to developing your teaching skills within a supportive setting.
  • For experienced teachers: A proven track record of successful teaching in Mathematics, with strong subject knowledge and excellent classroom management skills.
  • The ability to teach Maths effectively across the relevant Key Stages.
  • A commitment to inclusive teaching practices and the ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners.
  • Enthusiasm for promoting mathematical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • A relevant degree in Mathematics or a related field is desirable.
