The Role:
We are looking for motivated and compassionate Employment Advisors to join a team in Preston. This is a rewarding opportunity to work directly with individuals facing multiple barriers to employment, supporting them on their journey towards sustainable and fulfilling work.

Duties:

  • Take ownership of a dynamic caseload, providing one-to-one, in-person support to individuals at our centre.
  • Conduct in-depth initial assessments to fully understand each customer’s work history, current challenges, learning needs, and aspirations.
  • Design tailored action plans that link customers to relevant training, mentoring, and support services to remove employment barriers.
  • Set clear, achievable SMART goals and regularly review progress to ensure forward momentum towards employment.
  • Provide continuous motivation, practical guidance, and encouragement to help individuals build confidence and skills.

Required Skills:

  • A strong track record of working with unemployed individuals, particularly those facing complex challenges or long-term unemployment.
  • Proven experience managing fluctuating caseloads in a results-driven environment, with a focus on job outcomes.
  • Skilled in conducting holistic needs assessments and identifying meaningful next steps towards employment or further development.
  • Confident in setting and reviewing SMART objectives, with a commitment to maintaining high standards of support and accountability.
  • Empathetic, resilient, and genuinely driven by the desire to help people transform their lives through work.


Due to the nature of this role, you will be required to complete an online Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
