We are seeking a dedicated KS1 SEN Teacher to join our client in Preston. This role involves working with small classes of 8 children, providing specialised education to students with special educational needs. The ideal candidate will be a compassionate educator who is committed to fostering a nurturing and effective learning environment.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Teach small classes of 8 children with special educational needs.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the needs of each student.
  • Assess and record students' progress, and provide feedback to parents and caregivers.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with other teachers, professionals, and families to support student learning and wellbeing.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a focus on early years or primary education.
  • Experience in special education, particularly at the KS1 level.
  • Strong understanding of the educational needs and challenges faced by SEN students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to create and adapt teaching materials to meet the needs of students with diverse learning abilities.
