We're seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Contracts and Supplier Manager with a focus on risk management, and driving improvements within the Supply Chain for an expanding manufacturing organisation based in Lancashire. This role is pivotal in supporting the organisation and key stakeholders

Description

As the Contracts and Supplier Manager you will,

  • Support key stakeholders and negotiate contracts on behalf on the business, ensuring key clauses are including, and risk is managed
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements, challenging where necessary to deliver the best outcome
  • Oversee supplier selection, contract negotiation, and supplier management for all areas of spend. The supplier selection will include audits to cover capacity, quality and process adherence, as well as the ability to meet ESG requirements
  • Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities within the supply chain
  • Build a relationship with the legal team to ensure contracts are both commercially beneficial and mitigate risk
  • Evaluate supplier performance (through information provided by the operational supply chain team and regular audits) and maintain relationships / build partnerships

Profile

A successful Contracts and Supplier Manager should have:

  • In-depth contractual knowledge, and used to supporting face paced manufacturing operations with the ability to either review, or write contracts, and understand key clauses that need to be included, as well as what can be negotiated on
  • Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to support a variety of different purchases (both products and services), using the functional expertise around them
  • Enjoy working with, and supporting stakeholders to achieve good commercial outcomes
  • Experience in supplier management and performance evaluation.
  • Proficiency in risk management within the procurement process.
  • Comfortable working in a regulated environment at pace with a high degree of autonomy
