About Us:
Shorterm Group are working with a well-established and respected helicopter operator and maintenance organisation based in West Sussex on the South Coast of England. With over 30 years of experience, they specialise in the sale, support, and operation of both new and pre-owned helicopters worldwide. They are currently looking to appoint an experienced B1.3 Licensed Engineer with MD series type ratings or experience working on Light Single or twin turbine Helicopters.
The Role:
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced B1.3 Licensed Aircraft Engineer to join our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will hold a UK CAA Part 66 License with type ratings on Light Single or twin turbine Helicopters Ideally MD 500 series or MD 902 Explorer Series.
Key Responsibilities:
*Perform maintenance, repair, and inspection of rotary-wing aircraft in accordance with approved data and company procedures.
*Release aircraft to service following scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
*Ensure compliance with airworthiness directives, service bulletins, and regulatory requirements.
*Maintain accurate records and ensure all documentation is completed in a timely manner.
*Work both independently and as part of a collaborative team to support operational readiness.
*Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers as needed.
Requirements:
*UK CAA Part 66 B1.3 License (mandatory).
*Current type ratings on: MD 500 series or MD 902 explorer will consider other types AW169, AW139.
*Proven track record in helicopter maintenance in a Part 145 environment.
*Excellent knowledge of EASA/UK CAA regulations and safety standards.
*Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
*Flexible, self-motivated, and able to work under pressure.
*Full UK driving license and the right to work in the UK.
