About the Client:

Oval Deene Recruitment are representing a well-established independent builders merchant that has been serving customers in the Southeast since the early 1990s. The business prides itself on offering quality products, excellent customer service, and a supportive working environment.

As part of ongoing growth, the company is expanding its delivery team and is seeking a reliable HGV Driver to support deliveries to both trade and retail customers.

About the Role:

This role offers the successful candidate the opportunity to be a key representative of the business while out on the road. You will deliver building materials to various sites and residential addresses, ensuring safe, timely, and professional service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate an HGV vehicle for multi-drop deliveries

• Load and unload goods (including the use of a HIAB crane if certified)

• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects

• Maintain accurate delivery documentation and tachograph records

• Follow all health & safety procedures

• Provide courteous, professional service to customers

What You’ll Need

• Valid HGV Category C licence

• CPC qualification (desirable)

• HIAB certification (preferred; training can be provided)

• Experience in multi-drop deliveries or within builders merchants (advantageous)

• Strong communication and customer service skills

• Physically fit and safety-conscious

Hours

• Week 1: Monday to Friday, 07:30–17:00

• Week 2: Monday to Friday, 07:30–17:00, plus Saturday 08:00–12:00
